Living and working in rural South Shropshire on a working hill farm, Jane creates distinctive designs and uses harmonious colours that echo the surrounding landscape. Inspired by nature and influenced by medieval and country pottery, the pots are thrown on a kick-wheel using earthenware clay and decorated using traditional slipware techniques, metal oxides and raw-glazed with clear and iron glazes. Her pottery includes both practical and beautiful pieces, ranging from mugs, bowls, jugs and teapots to individual sculptural tableaux, which can be commissioned to reflect the recipients lifestyle.
